Three Seniors Named National Merit Scholarship Finalists

Seniors Kathryn Robinson, Allegra Krasznekewicz and Agnes Cho were named as semifinalists in the 54th annual National Merit Scholarship program competition. They are three of the 16,000 semifinalists selected from 1.5 million applicants jostling for 8,200 scholarships valued at over $35 million. The criteria? Outstanding academic records, principal endorsement, high SAT scores, and a qualification test.
"We are very proud of these highly talented young women," said Dr. John Murphy. "This is really quite an honor of which they are most deserving. These young ladies exemplify the standards Santa Catalina School holds itself to, and we could not be happier for these three as they move forward with the competition."
