Second graders took a field trip
The Farm in Salinas on Tuesday, May 19th. At the agricultural education center, they learned about plant life cycles and saw samples of plants in each stage of life. After learning the difference between fruits and vegetables, students picked strawberries and snap peas right from the plant. They also went on a hayride and pet bunnies.

The Farm teaches visitors about farming and features an agricultural education center, demonstration farm, and produce stand. Located in
Salinas Valley, "America's Salad Bowl," the majority of its produce is grown certified organic. The Farm is also known for it's outdoor art gallery with artist
John Cerney's giant sculptures of farm workers.
