March 24, 2016 Alumnae Newsletter

Greetings from Gretchen

Spring has arrived and the school year is in its final months. We will induct the 56 members of the Class of 2016 into the Alumnae Association on April 20 and celebrate their graduation on May 28.

Before Sister Claire and Sister Christine retire on June 30, we will celebrate their 44 years of extraordinary service and leadership on April 28, in Monterey. We invite all alumnae to attend.

We recently celebrated Reunion 2016 on March 11 and 12. The Class of 1966 celebrated their 50th milestone and attended in record numbers. Excitement could be felt around campus as alumnae attended Assembly and classes, and toured our new Sister Claire and Sister Christine Mathematics and Science Center while visiting with classmates.

We invite you to attend mass at 9:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday in the Rosary Chapel.

Wishing you and your family a happy Easter.

Kind regards,

Gretchen Mueller Burke '83
Director of Alumnae Relations

News and Updates

Digitized Yearbooks

Have you ever wanted to look at your Catalinan yearbooks but can't find your copies? Currently, yearbooks from this year's Reunion classes (ending in 1 and 6) are available to read here. Stay tuned for an announcement in April letting you know when all Catalinans will be available on the website.

A big thank you to our 2015-16 Alumnae Board for their generous gifts that made the digitization of all Catalinans and our Legacy Book possible.

Guys and Dolls

Attend another wonderful Catalina production! Guys and Dolls opens on Friday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the PAC.

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical 1940's New York City, Guys and Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy considered to be "the perfect musical." Gambler Nathan Detroit tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend, nightclub performer Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for 14 years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson for the dough, but Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown. Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong.

Reservations recommended. Reserve your tickets here.

Reunion Year Giving: There is still time to participate!

Reunion 2016 was full of celebration, memories, and lots of laughter! We hope everyone had a great time visiting campus and reuniting with your classmates. If you didn't have a chance to donate prior to Reunion, there's still time! You have until June 30, 2016. Read More
