June 30, 2017 | Alumnae Newsletter

Greetings from Gretchen

Dear Alumnae,

Thank you all for another terrific school year! It was wonderful attending numerous alumnae gatherings across the country and abroad, seeing you on campus in March to celebrate your reunion milestones, and listening to you speak to our students during Journey Day.

Sending your daughters, granddaughters, and nieces to Santa Catalina and our summer camp, sharing our special school with your friends and families, remains your legacy.

For all of the above, we are grateful!

Today is your last day to participate in the Santa Catalina Fund. Our alumnae participation in the fund has historically been around 17 percent. Our goal this year is to get that up to 25 percent. Currently we are at 19 percent. It takes just 35 individual gifts (regardless of the dollar amount) to move a percentage point.

Will you help us reach our goal? You may make your donation online, or call Kathey Burcar (831.655.9379) or Cristy Mehringer (831.655.9310) to make your gift over the phone.

Thank you for your participation! Please enjoy the summer edition of our newsletter.

Kind regards,

Gretchen Mueller Burke '83

Director of Alumnae Relations

Jane mined her family history for her new book Sons at War, the true story of her uncle and the German pilot who shot him down during World War II. Jane, who never met her uncle, relied on his diaries, historical accounts, and interviews with the German pilot's nephew to tell their tale. You can find it on Amazon.

Jane is also the co-author of 2015's The Other College Guide: A Road Map to the Right School for You.
