Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is a yearly fundraising effort that makes an important difference to students and teachers each and every day. The after-school Science Club, extended day for Kindergarten, the reconditioned track, professional development for teachers, costumes for the play; when you give to the Annual Fund, you help make it possible for school to say "yes" to these and many other needs and opportunities as they are identified throughout the year. The Annual Fund provides relief to the annual operating budget, thereby bridging the gap between what tuition covers and the actual cost of running our school. In other words, the Annual Fund provides for the margin of excellence that makes Santa Catalina School exceptional.
Endowment Funds - A Gift for Today, and Tomorrow
A healthy endowment is the lifeblood of any independent school. Your gifts to endowment funds provide a stream of income that serves designated purposes such as financial aid, faculty support, program enhancement, and maintenance of campus and facilities. Endowment funds are carefully invested and an averaged percentage of the market value is directed annually to support school needs as specified by the donor. You may make contributions to existing funds, or choose to make a gift that establishes a new fund to serve agreed upon purposes.

Planned Gifts - A Living Legacy
Planned gifts allow donors to make contributions to school via such vehicles as bequests, trusts, charitable gift annuities, and insurance policies. Your planned gift gives you the satisfaction of knowing you've made a difference in the lives of students while providing you with potential financial benefit. Tribute Gifts - Heartfelt Expressions that Make a Difference
Contributions to Santa Catalina School may be in honor of, or in memory of, a person designated by you. Tribute gifts are a special way to honor and remember those who have touched our lives. These contributions may be directed to any fund and will be acknowledged to honorees and to the families of those you have remembered with your gift.
Gifts In Kind - Enhancing School Life
Santa Catalina School is pleased to accept gifts of personal property that serve educationally related purposes. In-kind gifts are acknowledged and receipted in the same manner as cash and other gifts. Donors are advised to provide and be responsible for documenting fair-market value of a contribution of this type for tax-deduction purposes.
Corporate Matching Gifts - Maximizing the Impact of Your Support
Many companies match their employees' philanthropic contributions, allowing you to double or even triple your gift to Santa Catalina. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. If making your gift online, please send the matching gift form by mail to the Development Office.
Stock Gifts - A Win-Win Contribution
Gifts of stock may be made to Santa Catalina by transferring your unsold stock into Santa Catalina's Merrill Lynch account. The stock is then sold, without capital gains tax consequences to the donor. You are credited for a gift amount equal to the average share amount on the date of the gift for the total shares donated. Your gift of stock benefits Santa Catalina School and may make good financial sense for you.
Pledged Gifts - Tailored to Your Needs
Some donors prefer to provide for scheduled, incremental payments to a master pledge as a convenient way to give to school. We are pleased to accept gift pledges based on a payment schedule that works best for our supporters.
