Santa Catalina School, located on the Monterey Peninsula, is an independent Catholic school. The Upper School is a college-preparatory high school for young women, with 137 resident and 146 day students in Grades 9 to 12. The Lower School is coeducational, with 278 day students in grades Pre-K to 8. Santa Catalina School seeks an Assistant Director of Admission to become a member of the Upper School Admission Team, reporting to the Director of Admission.  The position includes recruiting applicants, representing the school to prospective Upper School students and families, review of applicant files, and other projects as assigned.  The Assistant Director is expected to assume resident faculty responsibilities, including living in a faculty apartment attached to a dormitory, working collegially with other residential advisors to implement the student advising program, and coordinating activities to promote connections between and among resident and day students.  Responsibilities for members of the Admission Team may include chaperoning student activities, advising a small group of Upper School students, or coaching interscholastic sports.

We seek an articulate, dynamic woman to represent Santa Catalina Upper School.  The successful candidate will have at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree, will have residential school or camp experience (either as a resident student or as a faculty advisor), and will be able to support the mission of the school. The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with all constituents of the school.
