Lower School Faculty and Staff
Lower School teachers are professional educators with great depth of knowledge in their subject areas and broad experience in the classroom. Dedicated to the education of young people, they inspire, stimulate, and challenge students daily to extend their horizons and to grow in wisdom and character.
Our teachers are "teachers" in the broadest sense of the word. They instruct and they advise; they cajole and they comfort. Wherever they engage students and in whatever capacity they are present-in the classroom or on the athletic field, at recess or in the Chapel-they model the culture and values that are at the heart of Santa Catalina School.
Lower School teachers have high expectations of themselves. In order to bring their best efforts into the classroom, they regularly attend professional education courses and conferences. They also have high expectations of our students, and they ensure that each child has equal access to success in learning by recognizing students' unique learning styles and using a variety of teaching methods.
