The strength of Santa Catalina's academic program and the success its graduates have enjoyed enable students to choose from a wide range of colleges and universities, including the most selective. Finding the best college match is a process that takes place throughout each student's career at school.

Representatives from dozens of colleges and universities from around the nation and abroad visit Santa Catalina each fall to meet with interested students.

Parents' Weekend features a panel presentation by college admissions officers structured for sophomores and juniors. The school also maintains a College Resource Library that offers a large selection of informative materials.

The Director of College Counseling advises students from all classes on college and standardized testing questions. Individual college planning meetings begin junior year and continue through the senior year application process. Weekly college meetings are also held with the senior class.

The many goals include assisting each girl research and choose the colleges to which she will apply, guiding her though the mechanics of the application process itself, and supporting her candidacy to the colleges. The overall aim is to help each student enter the college or university that best meets her academic, extracurricular, and personal interests and needs.
