- Fri, 9/7 - @ Carmel Pre-season scrimmage - V 3:30; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 2-1: 1st goal by Lisa Enny with assist by Katie Goodson, 2nd goal on penalty stroke by Katie, standout performance by Lucy Pippin and Megan McCaffrey in midfield.
JV: 0-0 tie: Outstanding play by Mara Luevano in midfield and Bryn Anderson on defense.
- Mon, 9/10 - @ York Pre-season scrimmage - V 3:30 PM; no JV
- Varsity: 0-2: Despite the loss, SC held possession of the ball equally as York, with outstanding performance in the midfield by Lucy Pippin, Megan McCaffrey, Alex Strenfel and Gina Aiello.
- Tue, 9/18 - v. Carmel V 3:30 PM; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 5-0: SHUT OUT LEAGUE OPENER! Three goals by Sarah Wright and one goal each by Gina Aiello and Megan McCaffrey, with three assists by Katie Goodson, consistently solid execution in the midfield by Lucy Pippin. Great effort by the entire team to maintain a high level of play until the very end!
JV: 2-2 tie: Great play on defense by Bryn Anderson and goalkeeper Ti Dunlap.
- Tue, 9/25 - @ North Salinas V 3:30 PM; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 0-3: The team tried their best to adjust to artificial turf and worked hard to keep the score low against a large North Salinas squad, commendable performance in the midfield by Lucy Pippin and on defense by Bess Pezzini.
JV: 0-7: Good effort to play on artificial turf by a young squad, exceptional play on defense by team captains Colleen Zellitti and Mara Luevano.
- Thu, 9/27 - v. Gilroy V 3:30 PM; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 0-6: The lady Cougars kept the 4-year League Champions to 0-1 in the first half, but a skilled Gilroy team dominated in the second half. Gilroy said that SC was the best competition they have played so far in MTAL, despite the final score.
JV: 1-5: The JV squad followed a similar pattern, holding off the mighty Mustangs to 0-2 in the first half, with nice team work to finally score on Gilroy in the last 5 minutes of the game!
- Wed, 10/3 - v. York V 3:30 PM; no JV
- Varsity: 4-5: An exciting and close game, with SC scoring the first goal by Sarah Wright followed by two more goals by Katie Goodson, for a 3-3 tie at half-time. York scored two goals in the second half to take the lead, and Sarah tried to bring the Cougars back by scoring another goal. In the end, SC couldn't outpace York. Great effort in the midfield and on offense, with commendable performance by Lucy Pippin, Gina Aiello and Megan McCaffrey.
- Thu, 10/4 - @ Stevenson V 3:30 PM; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 2-2 tie: Sarah Wright scored with an assist by Katie Goodson, and Katie scored the second goal before the half, great play in the midfield by Gina Aiello and Lucy Pippin and on defense by Bess Pezzini.
JV: 2-1: 1st goal by Malwina Maslowska and second score by Mara Luevano to give the Cougars their W.
- Tue, 10/9 - v. Monterey V 3:30 PM; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 1-2: Nice effort by the Cougars against currently ranked #2 Monterey High, with one goal in the second half by Lisa Enny and an assist by Sarah Wright; solid performance in the midfield by Gina Aiello and 12 saves by goalkeeper Rachel O'Leary.
JV: 1-0: Catalina came out ahead in the second half with less than 5 minutes left in the game to seal the win against the Toreadores, with an amazing goal by forward Christina Tarriba who dribbled down the field and scored on a 1 v. 1 against the goalie; great defense by fearless Cougars goalkeeper Ti Dunlap for the shut-out win!
- Thu, 10/11 - @ Gilroy JV 3:30 PM; V 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 0-9: A defensive game to keep the score to single digits against #1 league team on Gilroy's turf. Great effort by the entire team to finish the game to the end on the fast-paced artificial field.
JV: 0-4: The team worked hard to keep Gilroy to only four goals. A fun experience for all players.
- Wed, 10/17 - @ Carmel V 3:30 PM; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 9-4: Carmel scored the first two goals, but the lady Cougars came back in spades with a 7-3 lead by the end of the first half. A momentous game with all three forwards scoring: 4x by center forward Sarah Wright, 3x by right wing Katie Goodson, and 2x by left wing Lisa Enny. Incredible effort and stamina by all team members to finish the game to the end, with stand-out play in the mid-field by Megan McCaffrey and on defense by Haley Gibb.
JV: 0-2: The team had moments of incredible passing and some breakaway plays, but the field slowed down the lady Cougars for their loss in this rematch.
- Fri, 10/19 - v. North Salinas V 3:30 PM; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 2-2 tie: Fantastic effort by the Varsity squad to rally from a 2 score deficit with a score by Katie Goodson to close the gap in the first half and then a score by Sarah Wright to tie up the game in the second half; outstanding play in the midfield by Alex Strenfel and Paige Whitmore.
JV: 0-5: The JV squad played short with only 8 players to North Salinas' 11, but the Cougars tried hard to play to the very end, keeping the Vikings scoreless in the second half.
- Thu, 10/25 - @ York V 3:30 PM; no JV
- Varsity: 2-2 tie: First goal by Lisa Enny with an assist by Sarah Wright to tie 1-1, and second goal by Sarah with an assist by Katie Goodson to lead the game before York managed to tie it up in the last 4 minutes of play in the game; phenomenal game by center Alex Strenfel, with great play in the midfield by Gina Aiello and Megan McCaffrey.
- Tue, 10/30 - @ Monterey V 3:30 PM; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 2-1: Fantastic effort by the entire team to beat #2 ranked Monterey High on their turf. Score in the first half by Lisa Enny after Monterey scored first, and then a score in the second half by Sarah Wright sealed the W for SC. Truly a team effort with everyone playing hard and finishing the game to the final seconds.
JV: 0-0 tie The JV squad played hard and settled for a tie with the Toreadores. Good job on a difficult and bumpy field.
- Thu, 11/1 - v. Stevenson V 3:30 PM; JV 4:30 PM
- Varsity: 3-3 tie Great end to the season with a game that was exciting down to the last seconds, as the lady Cougars tied Stevenson in an all-out battle to stay on top. Katie Goodson, Lisa Enny and Gina Aiello scored for the team, with an assist by Sarah Wright. Great play on defense and midfield by Paige Whitmore, who dashed Stevenson's hopes of scoring with 13 seconds left in the game.
JV: 0-0 tie: Great effort by the JV squad, who dominated most of the game despite playing short with only 10 players. GO COUGARS!
