Meet The Staff![]() Director of Admission Lou Douglas, Director of Upper School Admission for Santa Catalina, is instrumental in shaping the overall admission experience for our applicant community. Additionally, Ms. Douglas assists international applicants and their families from initial contact through their arrival at Santa Catalina for the new school year. Ms. Douglas has more than twenty years of experience in the independent school admission arena, including work at San Dominico School and The Branson School, both located in the Bay Area. Most recently, Ms. Douglas held the position of Associate Director of Admission at Santa Catalina School. ![]() Director of Financial Aid Heather Daly, Director of Financial Aid, works with families applying for financial aid in Grades K-12. She serves as a sophomore class coordinator, a resident student advisor, and is also a Head of Greer Dormitory. Mrs. Daly’s twelve years of experience at Santa Catalina include a variety of positions in the admission office. Previous to her tenure at Santa Catalina, Mrs. Daly earned a B.A. from Wellesley College in English and History. Associate Director of Admission Erin White, Associate Director of Admission, works with applicants from Southern California, the Southwest, and all states east of Colorado, and serves as a junior class advisor. Currently in her third year at Santa Catalina, Mrs. White’s previous admission experience includes tenure at Loyola College in Maryland, where she earned her B.A. ![]() Associate Director of Admission Katherine Mitchell, Associate Director of Admission, works with applicants from Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, and serves as a freshman class advisor. Her previous admission experience includes The Harker School in San Jose and the Nichols School in Buffalo, New York. Mrs. Mitchell is an alumna from University Liggett School, an independent school in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and received her undergraduate and law degrees from Michigan State University. Assistant Director of Admission Lisa Beiras, Assistant Director of Admission, works with local applicant families and serves as a sophomore class advisor and as resident faculty in Hills Dorm. Her previous admission experience includes The Wildwood School in Los Angeles. Ms. Beiras received her undergraduate degree from California State University Dominguez Hills. |
