LOWER SCHOOL

With the sheer energy of our Lower School students we could light up the world. It takes teamwork and a shared sense of community to harvest that enthusiasm into future leaders of uncommon brilliance and compassion, and that is our goal.

Our PreK through fifth-grade curriculum is specifically tailored to the age group it serves. Classes are small so teachers are able to closely monitor their students’ academic and personal progress.

In elementary grades, we foster new skills, imagination, and initiative by striving to make every activity inspiring and fun. We also realize the unique needs of early adolescent students and are sensitive to their overall development, helping them to develop self esteem and self confidence with an emphasis on personal integrity. Leadership and service opportunities are addressed as part of our comprehensive Lower School program Explore/Discover/Become.

By graduation, students have mastered our academic curriculum, conversed in a foreign language, and attended their first dance. They will have matured into articulate, confident down-to-earth young men and women prepared to contribute their talents to a top high school, and to all the rich opportunities that lie ahead.
