    Middle School Dance

    Grade 8 is sponsoring a Middle School dance on Friday, May 29 from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. in the Assembly Room. Middle School faculty members will serve as chaperones, and we hope all Middle School students will attend. Parents, we ask that students arrive no later than 7:30 p.m. and that you promptly pick them up at 9:30 p.m.

    Pep Rally and Compass Free Dress

    Join us for a Sports Recognition Ceremony and Pep Rally on Friday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the gym. We will honor students who participated in golf, track, and tennis. Students should wear their Compass colors. We will be on an activity schedule.

    Middle School Chromebook Collection

    We will collect Chromebooks from the Middle School students on Monday, June 1. Each student will be responsible for turning in a clean Chromebook, a working charger, and a colored hard case.

    Students should keep their protective sleeves for use in the 2015-16 school year.

    Spring Art Salon

    The 2015 Spring Art Salon is now open! Stop by the Assembly Room and the adjacent Hallway Gallery to see the stunning artwork created by students in kindergarten through grade 8.

    Catalina Makes an Impression at Mathletics

    The Lower and Middle School had 14 participants and took home eight individual awards and two team awards.

  • The fourth-graders attempt to stay in character by keeping straight faces like well-behaved 19th-century schoolchildren.

    Grade 4 Little Red Schoolhouse Day

    On Friday, May 15, bonnets and suspenders were all the rage in the Grade 4 classroom, and overhead lighting was "nonexistent" for most of the day. Check out the photos and video from this event honoring 19th-century school life.

    Medieval Times in Grade 7

    On April 28, the Grade 7 Royal Court convened amid medieval pomp and circumstance. Greeting many knights and ladies from far-off lands, Queen Audrey, King Hayden, and Princess Rachel led the Medieval Faire.

  • 2015 National Spanish Exam medal winners


    Congratulations to the 32 students in grades 7 and 8 who received honors for their performance on the 2015 National Spanish Exam. Together, they earned 24 medals and eight honorable mentions.

    Santa Catalina maintains a comprehensive emergency plan that is standardized to meet the requirements of Monterey County police and fire officials.

    Summer Reading and Math Programs

    Santa Catalina will again offer a summer reading program for students entering grades 1 through 3 who could benefit from multisensory practice of literacy skills. We will also offer a summer math program for students entering grades 4 and 5.
