    Mandatory Meeting: Grade 6 Parents

    In preparation for the Grade 6 trip to Mount Hermon in May, we will be have a mandatory parent meeting on Tuesday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly Room. We will discuss the trip itinerary, expectations, and logistics and hand out important documents.

    Grade 2 Entrepreneur Fair

    Grade 2 students have been learning about the different community jobs, and they recently created their own businesses. Please stop by their Entrepreneur Fair on Tuesday, March 10 from 8:15 to 9:00 a.m. in the Assembly Room.

    Get Your Game On!

    Invitations have gone out for the 33rd Annual Benefit Celebration, which will take place on Saturday, March 28. "Get Your Game On" for a night of fine wine tasting, fabulous food, a live auction, and more! Early-bird pricing ends Monday, March 9.

  • The winner of Catalina's Middle School Spelling Bee, Emma Leamey will compete in the county spelling bee on March 8, 2015.

    'Tenacious' Eighth-grader Wins Middle School Spelling Bee

    On Monday, February 16, we held our annual Middle School Spelling Bee. Congratulations to eighth-grader Emma Leamey, who was declared the winner after correctly spelling "tenacious."

  • In February, grades 1 and 3 enjoyed a combined Writing Workshop Celebration.

    Writing Workshop Inspires Creativity and Confidence

    Students in grades 1, 2, and 3 have been honing their skills and having fun with the Writing Workshop program. Recently, the first- and third-graders wrote and shared informational books, and the second-graders wrote letters nominating their most cherished books for special awards.

    Grade 2 Releases Winged Beauties

    On Friday, February 20, the second-graders released 15 painted lady butterflies, which the students had been caring for since the larval stage.

    With only two months until departure, Grade 8 students and chaperones are counting the days until they leave for Washington, D.C. Parents and students, join us for a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly Room.

    Volunteer for Your Children, Volunteer for Art!

    The art studio has been filled with fun, enthusiasm, and creative energy, and the students are excited to share what they've been creating. Will you help us display their artwork for this year's Art Salon? Preparation sessions will be held in the art studio from Thursday, April 16 through Thursday, April 30. Installation will take place on Wednesday, May 6 through Friday, May 8.

    Middle School Day of Fun

    Please join the Middle School on an optional day trip to California's Great America on Saturday, April 18. The cost is $35 per student, and sign-up is available in the Lower and Middle School office. We look forward to this day of fun with our students in grades 6, 7, and 8!
