Summer at Santa Catalina

Open to girls ages 8 to 14, entering grades 3 to 9 in the fall, summer camp at Santa Catalina is set on our beautiful campus with rose gardens, six tennis courts, an athletic field, a gym, an aquatic center, and a 500-seat performing arts center.

You’ll be able to choose from an array of exciting classes and tailor them to your particular interests. Imagine yourself creating colorful ceramics or watercolor paintings in one of our spacious, sunny art studios. Maybe you’ll want to learn photography, ballet, choir, or hip-hop. One of the most popular sessions is our Musical Theatre Workshop in which you’ll be part of a full-scale, professionally choreographed stage production at the end of 5 weeks.

Off campus, you’ll join other girls in hiking with our outdoor explorers, kayaking, or enjoying the sea air while exploring tide pools as part of Marine Biology studies. You can master your golf swing at nearby Monterey Pines Golf Course or hone your riding skills and understanding of horsemanship at the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center.

Try our volleyball, tennis, swimming, soccer, and diving classes, which are taught by enthusiastic and knowledgeable coaches. Or maybe you'll look into a cooking class where campers learn to whip up everything from sweet, nut-filled breads to Chinese wraps and Italian pizza.

As a boarder, you’ll stay in our bright, airy dorms where a full staff of counselors, all college-aged women, live on-site for guidance and fun. Counselors also accompany campers on weekend field trips that may include a visit to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk or a trip to the Monterey Aquarium.

Summer at Santa Catalina, promises to be an unforgettable adventure where you’ll explore your talents, build self-confidence, and create friendships that will last a lifetime. We have 59 years of practice growing great kids and having a ton of fun in the process
