Our academic curriculum exceeds
requirements of the most selective universities in the country. But perhaps
most importantly, our academic program is designed to expand your mind and
inspire your curiosity and desire for learning for a lifetime.

Teachers here
will push you further than you thought you could go. Whether discussing the
life of a cell or American foreign trade, our faculty will encourage you to
think for yourself, to ask questions, to find answers. The classroom has no
confines. Learning happens at the beach, on the sprawling front lawn, in the
science lab, in the dining hall, on the playing field, and in the dorms.
We are fortunate to be located in area rich with historic
and scientific institutions such as the Monterey Institute of International
Studies and the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Lab. Professors and scientists are often invited to campus for
guest lectures. Santa Catalina’s library and science laboratories provide
excellent learning environments for further study.
Our greatest wish is that by the time you leave Santa Catalina,
you will be well educated. What
this means for a Santa Catalina graduate is that she is able to think
critically, communicate her thoughts, work with others in a collaborative manner,
and find creative solutions to problems. Graduating from Santa Catalina, we believe you will be empowered to
excel.
