Santa Catalina has some of the finest high school athletic facilities in California. The Bedford Family Athletic complex includes a gymnasium with indoor basketball and volleyball courts, outdoor tennis courts, an all-weather running track, and a playing field for soccer, field hockey, softball, and lacrosse.
The Salyer Aquatic Center includes a competition-size pool with 10 swimming lanes, three one-meter diving boards, a touch-pad timing system, and an electronic scoreboard for the water polo, swimming, and diving teams.
Students train and compete on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, where cross-country athletes enjoy magnificent vistas as they run and golfers take advantage of some of the finest courses in the world. The temperate climate on the California coast places few limitations on outdoor activity during any season.
