Coco '18 earns honor from American Junior Golf Association

Coco Chai '18 has been named to the American Junior Golf Association's 2017 Transamerica Scholastic Junior All-America Team.

According to the AJGA, "the team consists of 12 young men and 12 young women who demonstrate the ability to excel not only on the golf course, but also in the classroom and the community."

The senior boarding student from China is a consistent medalist for Santa Catalina. Last year she was selected First Team All League and advanced to the NorCal Championships. In July, she won the Girls Division at the AJGA's Killington Junior Golf Championship.

In making its selection, AJGA noted Coco's 4.5 GPA, her involvement as a volunteer with the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and PURE Insurance Championship, her membership in the National Honor Society and Catalina's Peace and Justice Club, and her Brandeis University Book Award for civic service.

Congratulations, Coco!
