Announcements School News Schools come together for Earth Day Lower and Middle School students from grades 4-6 participated in a joint beach cleanup with the Upper School and Palma School in celebration of Earth Day. Students also learned about sea organisms and alternatives to plastic. Read more and see photos. Grade 5 egg drop The challenge: Can you use Newton's Three Laws of Motion to design a device that will slow an egg down and prevent it from cracking when dropped from a bridge? Read about how it turned out. Spring Concert This year's Spring Concert is a "Pops Concert" featuring popular and contemporary music. The concert takes place Thursday, May 24, at 7:00 p.m. in the PAC. No special costumes are required this year, so all students should come in the usual concert attire:
Private Music Lesson Recital Dates for Recital #2 (K-Z): Wednesday, April 25—Rehearsal, 4:00 p.m. in MJRH Thursday, April 26—Recital #2, 4:00–5:00 p.m. in MJRH Reminder: After-School Enrichment ends week of May 21 Winter/Spring After-School Enrichment classes end the week of May 21–25. There are no After-School Enrichment classes for grades 1-8 on Thursday, May 24, due to the Spring Concert. Middle School Dance The Middle School Dance is Friday, May 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly Room. Stay tuned for the theme and permission slips. Grade 7 girls ice cream social The Upper School Admission Office invites the Grade 7 girls to come build an ice cream sundae with us on Wednesday, May 9, from 2:55–3:25 p.m. in the Hacienda Courtyard. They will have the opportunity to "get the scoop" by talking with current students about the Upper School experience. It's a great time for them to ask questions and get a glimpse into high school and their future. Summer Opportunities Summer at Santa Catalina Stillwater Yacht Club Youth Water Sports Camp Learn to sail, kayak, and stand-up paddle board in Stillwater Cove in Pebble Beach.
