Head of Upper School

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year. I am very happy to join Santa Catalina as the new Head of Upper School. It was wonderful to greet the students at the various activities during opening of school, and to speak with so many of you.

On the first day of student orientation, we gathered as a community for Assembly. In my remarks to the students, I encouraged them to commit to two things this school year to promote their personal growth and contribute positively toward the Santa Catalina community.

Giving

Alumna family kicks off year with gift to endowment

We are excited to begin the school year by announcing a generous gift of $100,000 to support Santa Catalina's endowment. Trustee Paul Felton and his wife, D.D., parents of Kela '14, have directed their gift to the school's tuition assistance program. As a gift to endowment, the Feltons' contribution will be invested, and the interest will cover the cost of a tuition assistance award in perpetuity. Thanks to the Feltons and others who support the school's endowment, families in need of financial assistance will continue to be a part of the Santa Catalina community for years to come.
