Calling all Kind Cougars!

As part of our support for the children and victims of the fires in Butte County, we are continuing to collect non-perishable snack items. During the weeks before Easter break, each classroom will be collecting snacks from the suggested list below. Ms. Newton, who is leading us in our service to the Ponderosa School, has made a generous offer to hand deliver whatever items we collect. Our students did such a thoughtful job on their letters to the Ponderosa children that we are hoping to lift the spirits of these families in another small way. They have asked for boxes of individually packaged snacks that can be easily distributed.

Suggested items include fruit snacks, trail mix, granola bars, GoGo squeeZ pouches, and snack mix.

Mini City

Grade 5 hosted Mini City last Friday to raise funds for their trip to Riley's Farm in the spring. Read more about the goods and services that were sold!

Volunteer for the Spring Art Salon!

Be part of the fun as we set up the 25th annual Spring Art Salon! It’s a chance to socialize with fellow parents, eat Mrs. Smith’s famous pumpkin chip cookies, and most importantly, celebrate your children’s amazing, artistic achievements.

Volunteering focuses on creating the Art Salon through hands-on workshops to mount and label children’s art, plan displays, and install the artwork in the Assembly Hall.

Volunteering is easy and flexible depending on how much time you are able to commit. Art Salon workshops begin March 18 and installation begins April 29. View the schedule here. Contact Susan Smith at susan.smith@santacatalina.org with any questions. We can do it—but only with your help!
