The Legacy Campaign

On behalf of Head of School Meg Bradley and the Board of Trustees, we are thrilled to announce the successful completion of Santa Catalina’s historic Legacy Campaign in June 2020. With thanks to so many of you, our campaign volunteers, and our dedicated Development Team, the campaign surpassed its goal of $50 million, including gifts, pledges, and bequest intentions. More than 700 alumnae/i, parents, foundations, and friends contributed to the Legacy Campaign, impacting the lives of students and teachers throughout the entire school.

Investments and Outcomes

The Legacy Campaign commenced in 2011. It included strategic investments in the campus and the endowment to ensure Santa Catalina’s position as a leader in education now and in the future.

The Veritas Challenge

In June 2019, a group of anonymous donors pledged $5 million to rally the Santa Catalina community to finish the Legacy Campaign by June 30, 2020. The pledge, known as the Veritas Challenge, is for the school’s tuition assistance endowment, helping ensure that we enroll the most talented, mission appropriate students.

The Veritas Challenge gave all Legacy Campaign donors who pledged $25,000 or more in 2019-2020 toward the tuition assistance endowment the opportunity to have their gift matched 1:1. The Veritas Challenge helped inspire community members of all generations to step forward and help us complete the historic Legacy Campaign. Read some of their stories.
