Performing Arts

Santa Catalina Lower and Middle School students singing on stage

A rich tradition of music and performance helps our students shine and exude confidence onstage and off. Students showcase their talents in concerts, assemblies, and plays throughout the year. Performances include:

  • Christmas and spring concerts
  • PreK and Kindergarten Christmas plays
  • Special assemblies for Veterans Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • Private music lesson recitals
  • Class presentations during weekly assemblies

Choirs

Honor Choir
Every year, Middle School students are invited to audition to represent our school in this prestigious county-wide choral group. And each year, an average of 15 of them are selected to participate.

Glee Club
Singing traditional music to contemporary hits, our Glee Club performs both on campus and in the community. Students sing at special events such as the Flag Raising Ceremony and our annual benefit celebration.

Instrumental Music

Our instrumental music program boasts 40 Orff instruments along with handbells, recorders, and ukuleles. In addition, some students take advantage of the added option of on-campus private music lessons.
