All students participate in the religious education program. The program draws from Santa Catalina's Catholic tradition, encouraging students to value their personal religious heritage while respecting the beliefs of others. Studies focus on scripture, prayer, character development, and liturgical participation within a developmentally appropriate framework. The program is designed to nurture each child's spirituality and to strengthen individual faith.

Students attend religion class two times each week. In Grade 2, Catholic students use one of these classes each week to prepare to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. Religion classes encourage daily personal prayer and provide frequent opportunities for formal worship and service learning. All of our Lower and Middle School students come together frequently to celebrate Mass as a school community. Students are involved in the planning and presentation of the liturgy in a variety of ways.
