The Lower School science curriculum uses the Full Option Science System (FOSS) in PreK through Grade 5. Students investigate, experiment, gather data, organize results, and draw conclusions based on their own experiences. Hands-on, minds-on inquiry based experiences are critical to the program and are often integrated with core curricula.
Middle School science classes use the Cambridge Physics Outlet (CPO) science program for hands-on, lab, and project based experiences. providing students with opportunities to investigate, research, and to explore. Textbooks support the curriculum, but they are not the driving force. Scientific inquiry supported by quality instruction and a constructive approach to learning is the basic thread running through all three grades.
