I’m inspired by the natural and spiritual beauty of the campus, the generosity and kindness of colleagues, and the curiosity and positive energy of the students.

Ms. Jones joined Santa Catalina’s English department in 2018 with 25 years of teaching experience at the high school and university level. She is the recipient of several fellowships for her graduate and postgraduate studies, including the Adele and Louis Osherson Fellowship for a professional development course in counseling at Fielding Graduate University, and a full fellowship from the Ann Peppers Foundation for her current Ph.D. coursework at Claremont Graduate University, where she’s writing her dissertation on one of her favorite authors, George Eliot. The Los Angeles native enjoys taking road trips across California and listening to jazz and world music from the likes of Pink Martini, Jon Batiste, Wynton Marsalis, and Norah Jones. Ms. Jones lives on campus with her sweet and spunky cocker spaniel, Annika, and serves as a resident faculty member for Greer Dorm. She teaches English 2 and English 2 Honors, and advises Mosaic, the annual student publication of prose, poetry, and the fine arts.
