I love seeing the transformation of the young women who go through Catalina, seeing their stories played out right before my eyes—both as an alumna and as a staff member. There is so much to learn and share! #catalinagirlscan

Ms. Boyd was a Catalina boarding student from Santa Cruz, graduating in 1989. When she returned to work here in 2007 she brought with her a wealth of experience in independent schools. She’s held a number of positions since joining the independent school world in 1995, including summer camp administrator, registrar, director of alumnae relations, and director of communications. She worked at two schools in Melbourne, Australia—the Academy of Mary Immaculate, an all-girls Catholic school for grades 7-12, and Methodist Ladies' College, an all-girls boarding and day school for PreK to grade 12—and twice worked at Harker School in San Jose. She is an avid reader of historical fiction and travels at every opportunity. She loves to bake and watch college football and Australian Rules football; her teams are the UCLA Bruins and the Richmond Tigers. She also volunteers as a reader for UCLA alumni scholarships and Alpha Phi Foundation scholarships and as a committee member at the Salinas Rodeo.
