I enjoy helping students make connections and watching their confidence grow.
Ms. Burton rejoined the Catalina community in 2023, having previously taught math in the Middle and Upper Schools for 12 years. Her daughter and son are also Santa Catalina graduates. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience, including most recently at Palma School, where she served as the math department chair. A military kid, she grew up in Colorado Springs, Monterey, and Cambridge, Massachusetts. She enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, traveling, gardening, reading, watching soccer, and cheering on the Golden State Warriors. She also has a “crazy smart cat” named Iggy. Ms. Burton teaches Algebra 1 and Geometry and serves as a sophomore advisor.
