Fred White

Titles: Director of College Counseling
Degrees: B.A., Goucher College
M.A., Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey

I relish the opportunity to help young people see the world more clearly—to grow their capacity for wonder—and to help them learn to use their freedom wisely.

Immediately before coming to Catalina in 2006, Mr. White was an adjunct English instructor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, where he earned his master’s degree. As an undergrad at Goucher College in his hometown of Baltimore, he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and in 2013 he was named a National Endowment for the Humanities Scholar, studying Dante’s Divine Comedy in Siena, Italy. He enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, digging into genealogy, and shooting sporting clays when he needs some excitement.
