Bulletin: Read profiles of people and programs making an impact

The Summer 2022 issue of Santa Catalina School’s magazine, the Bulletin, is now available to read online.

In this issue, Catalina says goodbye to Meg Bradley, who retired as head of school at the end of the 2021-22 school year. Meg made history when she was hired as Santa Catalina’s first lay Head of School in 2016. Fittingly, she guided the school through truly historic times. In her six years at the helm, the world around Catalina experienced political, social, and economic upheaval, not to mention a global pandemic. Through it all, Meg ensured that Catalina remained a safe and welcoming place where students could thrive and become the people they are meant to be. Read her farewell Q&A.

In addition, you will find profiles of people and programs that make Catalina special, including:

  • A profile of technical arts teacher Henrique Monnerat, who draws on his background in industrial design to create a truly synapse-firing makerspace.
  • An examination of Catalina’s phonics, guided reading, and writing programs as seen in the Grade 1 classroom.
  • A look at the ways Compass, our character education program, actively prepares Grade 8 students to be confident, compassionate servant leaders.
