Cougars look forward to another JDRF One Walk
Cougars look forward to another JDRF One Walk
Once again, Santa Catalina Lower and Middle School students will support juvenile diabetes research by coming together on Sunday, October 1, for the JDRF One Walk at Lovers Point in Pacific Grove.

To kick off this service project, we will have a panel discussion in both the Lower and Middle School assemblies on September 22. The panel will feature four Catalina alumni—Katherine Lipe, Kaitlin Criswell, Emily Radner, and Connor Jacobs—as well as the return of Leah Mendoza and her young daughter Emery. The panelists will share stories about living with type 1 diabetes. Parent Lia Edwards will moderate.

The JDRF One Walk is a fun, family-friendly event, and the Catalina family proudly turns out the greatest number of walkers year after year. Sign up to join the walk and make donations on the team's website.

The Cougars celebrate the courage of those living with type 1 diabetes and those committed to "turning type 1 into type NONE."
