Fifth-graders got a special delivery this week: letters from their new pen pals in England!
Their pen pals wrote from Brambleside Primary School, whose students are also writing to the grade 4 class. Catalina grade 5 teacher Bri Slama was able to set up the exchange through a mutual friend. "They were so excited!" she said of her students. "They loved learning all the different phrases the British school kids use, such as 'football' instead of soccer and 'sweets' instead of candy."
The Brambleside students wrote about their favorite hobbies, subjects in school, and their families. What will our Cougars write back?
