Meet Our Staff
Ange Atkinson, Director
"I love guiding girls to learn to fail well, access their internal self-worth, and feel confident and empowered in their bodies."
Ange became director of Summer at Santa Catalina in 2019. She has spent more than a decade empowering girls in a summer camp setting, including as founding director of Camp Lantern Creek, an all-girls sleepaway camp in her home state of Texas. She is a former facilitator and trainer for the Embody Love Movement, which empowered girls and women to celebrate their inner beauty through experiential learning around body image and self-love. Ange is also a registered yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner. She loves hiking, exploring national parks, and doing anything beach-related. A member of the resident faculty, she lives on campus with her lab mix, Dottie.
Erica George, Assistant Director
“I am driven by the potential to create a community of strong women supporting one another.”
Erica joined Santa Catalina in 2022. Hailing from Buffalo, New York (“the land of hot wings and cold snow”), she previously worked at the leadership development organization Seeds of Peace. In her free time she likes to attempt various types of art, read, travel, watch movies, bake, and spend time with family.
During the school year she coordinates Santa Catalina Lower and Middle School's After-School Enrichment Program. She is also a member of the Upper School's resident faculty, living on campus with her pet rabbit, Marbun Brando.
Nancy Da Silva, Office Manager
"Working with children is a great opportunity to be of service to one's community. I take pride in giving parents peace of mind knowing that their children are well cared for in their absence."
Nancy joined Santa Catalina in 2022 after 14 years with the Pacific Grove Unified School District. While there, she worked in the front office at Forest Grove Elementary School and proudly coached the P.G. Middle School boys volleyball team to a league championship. In her free time, she can be found hitting up thrift stores and antique fairs, hiking, running, and cheering on her children at golf tournaments, volleyball games, and track meets. Nancy and her husband have three kids and two dogs, a Labrador named Tucker and a Jack Russell Terrier named Harper.
Summer Camp Counselors
We have rockstar young women who mentor and guide our campers throughout their stay at camp. Our day and resident camp counselors are a diverse group of positive role models who facilitate play and inclusive community living. Our summer camp counselors are the special ingredient to making that camp magic happen.
