Reunion Giving

I give to the Santa Catalina Fund because I want to ensure Catalina’s future so that others may also experience this special place.
—Shannon McClennahan ’87

Alumnae support is a vital part of the Santa Catalina Fund. Participation from alumnae enables us to provide our faculty with competitive compensation and professional development opportunities, continue important technology upgrades, offer a strong tuition assistance program, and provide for a range of other enhancements and opportunities that tuition alone would not allow. Your gift, no matter how big or small, is an inspiration to our students and faculty and is deeply appreciated by everyone at Santa Catalina. Thank you for your support and your belief in the power of education.

Reunion Challenge

We are delighted to announce that three classes—’68, ’88, and ’08—achieved both Reunion Challenge awards for 2018. Classes that reached their goals were announced during the March 24 reunion program and were celebrated at lunch that day. Great job, ladies!

  • The Catalina Award was presented to five classes: 1968, 1978, 1988, 2003, and 2008. Each of these classes met or exceeded their Santa Catalina Fund monetary goal.
  • The Top Class Award was presented to four classes: 1953, 1968, 1988, and 2008. Each of these classes exceeded their Santa Catalina Fund donor participation goal.

Santa Catalina is grateful for all alumnae who are supporting the school's efforts to prepare young women to be tomorrow’s leaders with a gift to this year’s Santa Catalina Fund. And, though the Reunion Challenge has concluded, the school continues to count on alumnae to make annual gifts through June 2018 in support of their alma mater. The inspiring education we received was made possible by philanthropists who came before us. Now, it’s our turn to help open a world of possibilities for today’s Santa Catalina students.

The Santa Catalina Fund relies on an active group of volunteers that is critical to increasing alumnae participation and fundraising success. We are so grateful for the time, talent, and hard work these alumnae share with us. If you would like to become involved you could:

Be a Class Agent

Class Agents perform a vital role by keeping classmates connected to school. They promote the importance of annual giving, and lead by example with their own gifts to the Santa Catalina Fund.

Be a Reunion Class Agent

Reunion Class agents are alumnae representatives celebrating their Reunion who reach out to classmates to encourage increased participation in the Santa Catalina Fund in honor of Reunion.

If you would like to volunteer to be a Class Agent or a Reunion Class Agent, or would like more information, please contact Cristy Mehringer, Annual Fund coordinator, at or 831.655.9310.

Every gift, at every giving level, makes a difference in the lives of our students and faculty. All donors to the Santa Catalina Fund are acknowledged in the Annual Report.
