Faculty & Staff Profiles
John Aimé
We get to promote the things that bring the mission of Santa Catalina to life each day: academic excellence, growing spiritual maturity, commitment to serving the world and the people around us, and sense of responsible purpose for the world, for each other, and for ourselves.
Mr. Aimé has been at Santa Catalina for a total of 18 years. He moved to Catalina from New Canaan Country School in his native Connecticut. He began in 1989 as director of Lower School Admission (Grades 1-8) and as a Middle School faculty member, and he lived in the faculty apartment in Long Dorm with his family. Mr. Aimé left Catalina in 1994 to work as an administrator at The Head-Royce School in Oakland and then served as Head of School at Applewild School in Massachusetts. He returned to Catalina as Assistant Head in 2005. In addition to his other duties, he serves as a senior class advisor. Mr. Aimé is a history and space buff. He and his wife, Robin, have three adult children, two poodle mixes, Andy and Lindsay, and a Yorkie named Max.
