Ms. Canteli has been a part of the Santa Catalina community since 2006. Before taking on the role of Head of Lower and Middle School, she served as a Spanish teacher and Director of Middle School. Her husband, Anthony, is from South Africa and is a mechanical engineering professor at Monterey’s Naval Postgraduate School, and her daughter, Aurora, is a student at Catalina. The family enjoys taking hikes and spending time on the beach. Ms. Canteli, a native of Madrid, loves the camaraderie among the Lower and Middle School teachers and enjoys that small class sizes give them an opportunity to really get to know the students and support them in their learning.
