Santa Catalina School swimmer Riley Barringer ’24 has set a new school record for the 100 freestyle. Her time of 55.24 seconds broke a 22-year-old record held by Sarah Kennifer Garrigues ’02 (55.52).
Riley sealed her place in school history during the Pacific Coast Athletic League swimming finals on April 26. She won both the 100 and 500 freestyle, qualifying her for the Central Coast Section championships.
Riley won the 200 and 500 free in the 2023 PCAL championships. She has received four all-league honors in both swimming and water polo during her Catalina career.
