Santa Catalina School's Reunion went virtual for 2021 with opportunities for alumnae to engage with current students and catch up with one another.
After their reunion was canceled last year because of the pandemic, alumnae from classes ending in 0s and 5s were invited to take part in this year's reunion celebrating the classes ending in 1s and 6s. Alumnae attended from 11 countries and 15 states from March 12-14.
"Although we were unable to gather in person, Alumnae Reunion Weekend was still a celebration of friendship, sisterhood, and Catalina memories," said Shannon Gaughf '08, Assistant Director of Alumnae/i Engagement.
Alumnae participated in 10 virtual events throughout the weekend. They sat in on Assembly and classes, talked about their careers in a networking session with current students, learned about Catalina today through a student panel, took a virtual tour of campus, and caught the performance clubs' B. R.E.A.L. Show. A special Reunion Celebration video celebrated the 50th reunions of the Classes of 1970 and 1971 and featured speeches from Distinguished Alumna Award recipients.
Each event allowed alumnae to chat with each other and even form new connections. "Alumnae reported that the weekend exceeded their expectations and they look forward to returning to campus in the future," Shannon said.
