Tradition is defined, in part, as "something handed down from the past; an inherited culture, attitude."
There is no greater athletics tradition at Santa Catalina School than the Santa Catalina Tennis Invitational. This year marks the 63rd year of our beloved annual event. The first year of the tournament was 1956. The year before I was born.
Our tournament is the longest-running female high school tournament in the history of California.
This year we have 10 teams competing in the two-day tournament. Friday, September 6, is the opening rounds of pool play. The championships take place Saturday, September 7.
