The first week of school is a tradition-filled flurry of activity as new students are enthusiastically embraced by their Santa Catalina family.
Boarding and day students alike were met with cheers as soon as they set foot on campus. Freshmen met their seniors big sisters, who helped them move in and joined them for a night of bowling and pizza. New students entering Study Hall found their desks colorfully decorated and loaded up with their favorite snacks. Freshmen boarding students spent their first weekend bonding as a class with a bonfire at the beach and a trip to the Monterey County Fair. The moments in between were filled with sweet reunions, exciting new classes, and—wasting no time—the first sports practices and auditions for the fall musical.
