Meet the Admission Team

Working to provide a Santa Catalina education for students who are motivated to learn, curious in nature, and compassionate citizens brings me great joy.

Janet Luksik
Director of Admission, PreK-Grade 8
Director of Tuition Assistance, PreK-12

Janet brings a dynamic perspective to the admission experience at Santa Catalina Lower and Middle School. Her experience as a teacher and as the parent of two Santa Catalina graduates allows her to share first-hand knowledge of the school with prospective families. Janet enjoys sharing her love of Santa Catalina Lower and Middle School and all that an education here offers.

I am grateful every day to be able to share this beautiful school, and its wonderful community members, with prospective families. There is no place like Santa Catalina. Kids can be themselves and learn in a supportive environment.

Lauren Taddeucci
Associate Director of Admission, PreK-Grade 8

Lauren joined the Lower and Middle School admission team in 2019 after three years of serving as a volunteer, first in the art room and then for grade 1. Before coming to Catalina, she worked at the SPCA for Monterey County, where she was a Humane Officer who investigated and prosecuted animal cruelty cases. Originally from Sunnyvale, California, she moved to the Monterey area just before high school. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor of science in criminal justice and a minor in childhood development and family studies. She loves hiking, traveling, and reading. She and her husband, Patrick (who happens to be an alumnus of Santa Catalina Lower and Middle School), have a German Shepherd named Murphy and an Australian Shepherd named Maggie, whom they adore.
