At Catalina, I have felt the most support I ever have. Everybody knows each other; we are always here for one another and treat each other with kindness. The all-girls environment is what makes Catalina so empowering and such a close-knit community. — Natalie ’25

The Power of an All-Girls Education At Santa Catalina

Community

In the classrooms, on the athletic field, and in Study Hall, the all-girls community brings out the best in each Santa Catalina student. Here, school is about achievement and learning, helping girls to build confidence in their own abilities while establishing relationships with peers and mentors that are built on mutual respect.

Leadership

At Santa Catalina, all the speakers, writers, singers, and athletes are girls. All the doers and leaders are girls. All-girls schools constantly create new leadership opportunities—in the classroom, in the science lab, on the playing field, or on the stage. Seeing classmates in positions of responsibility inspires confidence and shows our students that they can step up and lead in every capacity.

Self-Discovery

Santa Catalina works to cultivate the best environment for our students to become their full selves, make their own choices, and walk their truest paths. In an environment where they’re given the freedom, trust, and encouragement to explore and create without judgment, confidence is a natural side effect.

In an all-girls school, you are less distracted and more focused on yourself. When you focus on yourself, you become more confident and more open to discover your talents, try new things, and find more of what interests you.
