C.U.B. Camp provides boys entering Grades 4-8 with opportunities for adventure, skill-building, leadership development, and personal growth through hands-on activities.
Camp Program
Camp counselors lead team-building activities, off-campus excursions, and foster healthy friendships in this all-boys environment. Our on-campus camp director is available to answer parent questions and to support campers and staff throughout the camp day.
Throughout the week, campers participate in team-building activities focused on collaboration, communication, creativity, and healthy competition, including a design challenge culminating in a cardboard regatta. Additionally, camp days offer opportunities for off-campus excursions that amplify the fun. Each afternoon concludes with campers coming together for afternoon snack and discussion during our "Treat and Debrief" session so campers can process their leadership learning from the day.
Campers will venture out to Monterey Bay-area excursion spots to explore, learn, and challenge themselves while learning teamwork and leadership skills. Excursions may include kayaking at Elkhorn Slough, fun at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and more.
Daily lunch and snacks are provided for campers, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available as needed.
Our week culminates in an overnight local camping trip Thursday night to Friday morning. Group camping supplies are provided, with campers bringing their own sleeping bags and personal overnight bags. Campers will cook their own dinner and be provided breakfast Friday morning. Campers sleep in tents in small groups and enjoy a final fun evening with a campfire, s’mores, and more.
