Day Camp
Day camp at Summer at Santa Catalina is a girls’ empowerment experience unlike any other on the Monterey Peninsula. Day campers have opportunities to stretch themselves mentally in a variety of camp classes and grow emotionally and spiritually through our interactive camper group activities—all while playing and making life-long friendships. Our unique day camp program offers a chance for girls to experience a taste of communal living while still going home at the end of each day. With our evening program option, day campers can literally stay with us from sunup to sundown!
Evening Program and Field Trip Options
Day campers are invited to join evening programs and weekend field trips for an additional fee. We highly recommend our day campers attend as many evening programs as possible in order to get the full summer camp experience. This includes our day camper sleepover, which we offer once each two-week session. Stay tuned for more information!
Day campers must pre-register for evening programs and field trips before their session begins so we may create accurate rosters. A calendar of evening programs and Saturday field trips is released in the spring along with related sign-up forms in your camper account.

Camper Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Campers are dropped off and picked up daily via car line near our front lawn area. Each camp family receives a placard to place in their car to allow entrance through our campus gate and easy check-in with campus security.
Day camper drop-off is 8:35–8:50 a.m. Monday-Friday (exceptions may apply for horseback riding and golf classes, which may have earlier drop-off times).
Day camper pick-up is offered at two times:
- Check-Out 1: 5:20–5:30 p.m.
- Check-Out 2: 8:15–8:30 p.m. (campers staying for evening programs)
Saturday field trips have different drop-off and pick-up times. More details are communicated when campers sign up for field trips.

Day Camper Opening Day
The first day of camp for day campers is fun and exciting, with campers receiving their daily schedule, meeting their counselors, and getting to know other campers. Drop-off begins early on opening day to provide extra time for check-in. Once the check-in process is complete, campers say goodbye to their parents, join their counselors, and meet new camp friends. More details will be communicated to you upon registration.
